Admitting to yourself, your family, and the rest of the world who cares to listen that you are "Intuitive" is not an easy thing. Where is the proof? How did you come to this conclusion? are the polite ways people express their scepticism, while others simply roll their eyes and shake their heads.

Getting over the fear of what other people think is part of the journey.

I have spent decades of my life "knowing" things. Pretty simple. Call it intuitive, or psychic, or being a medium, whatever label best suits the task at hand. It took forty years to accept it, understand it, and actually kind of celebrate it.

The more clarity I gain with time, learning, age, and life experience, the greater I feel my ability to connect to this source. Can everyone do this? Are there a handful of people who have a talent for it? I don't know. There are a lot of things that I do not excel at - like playing the guitar, organizing my desk, or making any kind of craft. And, my four year old can beat me at any video game - even the easy ones.

If I sat down to practice one or any of those things, I would most likely improve. Is there such a thing as natural talent - yes.

I am drawn to this work. And I feel that it is a talent, like any other. I could go in another direction. But I would not be living up to my potential...and I know it.
