Introduction

As I sat down to begin working on this site, I asked my pre-teen daughter what I should write.  
She answered,
 "Yes."

It has taken me quite a while to get to yes.
Yes - how I feel is important. Yes - what I do has value in this world.
Yes - I will honor what I have, what I know, and what I do by sharing it with others who might just benefit, and have a better day because I did.

If you have ever tried to get to yes, you know it is not easy. From the day we are born we are taught things about ourselves. Some of them are true. Some of them are not. And they all get thrown together into a growing mind, a human being, a collection of learning and understanding in a beautiful package we call "me".

I have found in my years of growing, after weeding through a lot of fears and false beliefs, that I have been given three gifts to share.

One is the gift of what I call intuitive awareness. We are all by nature intuitive beings. I was simply born with a strong impulse to believe in it, focus on it, and allow it.

My other two gifts are bound to the first...and incorporated in Healingtree Intuitive. One is the gift of body & energy work, the other a gift of the written word.

We all have gifts to share with the world. My gifts are not perfected, and I approach this project with humility. There are better writers, more accurate intuitives, and more experienced bodyworkers than I.

But if we don't discover our gifts - simple or complex - and share them with each other, we are in denial of our very nature. Sending the universe a fearful NO instead of a resounding YES.

So to my friends who have wandered into the garden of Healingtree...

whatever you do today

Say yes...to who you are.
See your own beauty.
And know your own truth.

Who am I?

My name is Rebecca, and I am a 42 year-old mom with four children at home. I run a single boat charter business with my man, and do writing, massage, and intuitive work as well.

Every morning, almost as soon as I wake up, I have list of things to do already ticking through my head. Things to be done, cared for, started, finished, stacked, cleaned, or fixed. Things from the past that can wrap me up in hurt if I let it. Things in the future that could raise my blood pressure and elevate my medical bills.

And every morning I stop myself and say - Hey Rebecca - Today is a special day. Appreciate all you have to do. Appreciate all you have to give. Appreciate all that you recieve. Today is YOUR DAY.

And in recognizing this, that each day, each moment, each intereaction is beautiful and unique, I can take my normal, everyday life and turn it into something more.

I have created this website in order to share. In order to help. One person to another. Do what I can in this big ole world to make the connection that we all have a little more solid.
I don't know exactly where it will go.
I realease any expectations.
Just here bringing my own little light into the world as I can.

What is Healingtree?

I can't remember how many years ago I had the dream of the Healing Tree...I am sure I wrote it down somewhere.

In the dream, after a series of obstacles to be overcome, I was drawn to a tree that lived in two worlds - a world of pain, and a world of peace. I was told that I could heal this tree.

On my "Stories" page, I will go into more detail, but lets just say that Healingtree represents the part of me, the part of all of us, that is truly aware. The part of me that can love my ego but also let it go. The part which understands that life is more.

Re-discovering who we are meant to be is a process. A journey. Healingtree offers shelter from the storms, and a place of peace to rest. The center of the self. Where we have never forgotten who we are. And as we heal - it grows.
